The Sweet Hereafter(1997)

British Columbia, Canada. A lawyer named "Mitchell Stevens" (Holm), whose daughter has been lost due to drug use, goes to the small town of Sam Dent, where a number of students have just died after the school collapsed into a frozen lake. He forces the parents of the victims to file a complaint against the culprit or culprits of the incident.
