Life is a nature documentary series produced by BBC Television and first broadcast as part of the BBC Darwin Season on BBC One and BBC HD from October to December 2009. This documentary series takes a global look at the special strategies and behaviors that living organisms show to save themselves; What Charles Darwin referred to as the "struggle for survival". The natural documentary of life was made for four years and in high definition quality (HD). This British documentary contains 10 episodes of 50 minutes. At the beginning of the program, a general introduction about the series is played. In the second part, there is a look at the plants and the rest is dedicated to the group of migratory animals. The collection depicts the common traits that contribute to the success of each group of animals and attempts to document the intimacy and dramatic moments in the lives of species chosen for their charm and surprising behavior. A 10-minute behind-the-scenes segment on life on location is included at the end of each episode, bringing the total running time of each episode to 60 minutes. Natural Life is a documentary produced by the BBC's Natural History Unit in collaboration with Discovery TV, Ski TV and the Open University. The original text, used in the British and Canadian versions of this series, was written and narrated by David Attenborough.
