"Hunger" is the story of the hunger strike of Bobby Sands, a member of the Provisional Army of the Republic of Ireland, which took place in 1981 in protest against the abolition of the discrimination law against political prisoners by the then British government. "Hunger" depicts the last six weeks of Bob's life in Maze Prison.
