Appleseed (Japanese: Appurushīdo) (English: Appleseed) is the name of a 2004 anime style movie directed by Shinji Aramaki. This movie is based on a manga of the same name. The story of the film version of Appleseed is about the human society's attempt to achieve utopia by manipulating the human genome and removing the violence gene, and finally the design of a new humanoid creature called Bioriods. Deunan Knute spent most of his life as a soldier on the battlefield.
