Rizwan Khan is a Muslim from Mumbai, who suffers from Asperger's syndrome, which makes him weak in social relations. Rizwan marries an Indian widow named Mandira in America. After the September 11 incident, tragic events happen to him and his family, and he is suspected by the police and mistakenly arrested as a terrorist because of his behavioral disorders and having a Khan family (being a Muslim). Therefore, Rizwan begins a journey to see Obama, the American president, and tell him: My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist.
