The story takes place in Tokyo in 1987. The center of the story is an eleven-year-old girl with a strange and sensitive personality who has to cope with two difficult situations: her father who has an incurable disease and her mother who works and endures a lot of pressure. Along the way, he meets many adults, each of whom is struggling with problems and struggles in his life...
