Sugar(2026)

Mira is a hard-working mother whose 9-year-old son, Dong-myung, suddenly passes out due to type 1 diabetes. Mira is heartbroken when she learns that her son has to undergo painful blood tests every day. Desperately searching around the world for painless devices to monitor blood sugar, he finally succeeds in importing the DexCom device into Korea for the first time. Empathizing with other patients, Meera starts helping other mothers get these devices. However, he faces charges of illegal importation and decides to stand up to the world for all those who are suffering. Will Mira continue this fight not just for her son, but for a greater cause?
