The Eurovision Song Contest is an international music competition that has been held annually since 1956. According to the rules of the competition, active member countries of the European Broadcasting Union can participate in this competition. Countries choose songs that will be performed live on TV and then voting is done and the best song of the competition is selected. The competition is held every year in the country that won the previous year and the host network is the national network of that country that runs the program. All participating countries must present one song and one singer every year. The singer must be at least 16 years old and the song must not have been played anywhere before. The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is the 60th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, held at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden, having won in 2015 in Vienna, Sweden with the song "Heroes", performed by Mance Zelmerlo. This is the third time that Sweden has won this tournament. The previous times were 1975 and 2000, the last time it was held at Ericsson Globe. In this period, Jamala, the representative of Ukraine, won with the song 1944.
