The Rising of the Shield Hero(2019)

Nathani Naofumi, an unremarkable otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world and is tasked with joining others to fight against the waves of disaster. He forms his group with visions of a great adventure, but after only a few days he is betrayed and loses all his money, respect and status. Unable to trust others again, he hires a slave named Raphtalia and leaves for the waves and the world. But can he really find a way to change this situation? This is a fantasy adventure story about the rise of a man who has lost everything.
