Awkward is about special events in our formative years that sometimes show us the best and sometimes the worst. This series revolves around a fifteen-year-old teenager, Jenna Hamilton, who, like many, feels that she is not seen among her peers and desperately wants to find her place, something that is really difficult in this day and age, a time when finding a place means being special and a finger, and Jenna was unlucky to be seen right after the accident, which caused her to break her arm and be labeled. Not so interesting happened to her and while the rumors of her accident could have become the worst nightmare of her life, Jenna decides to use this incident to improve her life.

The story of the series begins with a viral video on YouTube, which causes problems for some teenage students of the famous Lakewood School. This school was the main scene of the story of the movie version. Audrey is one of the students of the new generation of this school, who faces the events that in the movie version were troublesome for the teenage students of Lakewood School.
