Sam is a giant buffalo who lives with his grandmother. His best friend is the girl next door, but Sam always resents being considered a stranger. One day, when Sam asks his grandmother for a statue of Dracula, her grandmother suggests that he write a letter and ask Santa for this statue as a Christmas present. But Sam has a better idea, since Halloween is near he decides to write this request in a letter to Dracula! Dracula is very happy to receive Sam's letter because in this era vampires like him are not attractive to others. Dracula, who is very eager to meet his fan, surprises Sam and goes to his house, but Sam realizes that Dracula is not what he thought! He has lost his confidence and can't even scare people. Sam decides to help Dracula regain his confidence and scare people again. Dracula has a chance to try out his new scare skills on Halloween. This is where he realizes that self-confidence alone is enough to return to his original state and place among people. In the meantime, Sam also learns that he can approach people with self-confidence and remove the feeling of alienation.
