On a remote volcanic island where everyone wants to leave, a little girl named Nana learns to stay. Her mother, Nia, went into exile right after her birth, and Nana grows up with her paternal family. One day, the family learns about Nia's illness. After that, Nana developed a severe fever and was sent to the foothills of the volcano for treatment. There he encounters a world immersed in magical realism, somewhere between dream and reality. Years later, when Nana is a teenager, her mother Nia finally returns to the island.
