Appleseed (Japanese: Appurushīdo) (English: Appleseed) is the name of a 2004 anime style movie directed by Shinji Aramaki. This movie is based on a manga of the same name. The story of the film version of Appleseed is about the human society's attempt to achieve utopia by manipulating the human genome and removing the violence gene, and finally the design of a new humanoid creature called Bioriods. Deunan Knute spent most of his life as a soldier on the battlefield. After the end of the world war, he goes to the city of Olympios (in English: Olympus) to live a peaceful life and he understands that in an effort to protect the human race in future wars, generations of bioroid humans have been created who do not have feelings and therefore cannot harm others. He also discovered that some people do not like to live with them. Many humans treat bioriods as an inferior species and consider them a threat to their future. The human control system is looking for bioriods that have caused corruption. Dunon is chosen to re-establish peace in the world. In this way, he got help from his previous lover, Briareos. Beria Rios had lost his body and was killed in the previous war, and now he had become a cyborg (in English: cyborg), meaning a brain in an artificial body. And now humans have to try for the survival of their generation...
