The animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 started showing in 2003. The characters of these four turtles are closer to comic books than the collection of the same name in 1987 and somehow inspired by these books. Danny Rand is one of the wealthy residents of New York City, who travels to Tibet with his parents as a child.
