Glory(1989)

Iftikhar movie deals with the discrimination against blacks in the American society, especially in the civil wars of this country. These wars take place between the Northern States, the Confederates, and the Southern States. The officials of the city of Boston in Massachusetts, from the northern states, who are against slavery, form a regiment of blacks and make "Robert Shaw" (Matthew Broderick), the son of one of the city's influentials, the commander of this regiment. Shaw trains this regiment, who are mostly fugitive slaves from the southern states, but it seems that existing discrimination does not allow them to go to war, and they are not even given shoes and clothes.
