Dangerous Minds(1995)

Luann Johnson (Pfeiffer), a widow in her thirties, with a career in the US Navy who is now unemployed, is invited by her old friend Hal (Dezondza) to work at a public high school in the western suburbs of New York. On the first day of class, she realizes that the most rebellious and evil children in the school are in her class. They have run away from the previous teacher, and three or four other teachers have only lasted a day or two. But "Luann" decides to overcome them...
