In the War of 1812, New Orleans was the target of a great and terrifying British attack. General Andrew Jackson (played by Charlton Heston) feels that he needs the help of Jean Lafitte, one of the pirates around the island. Those around Lafitte believe that he should not go to help Jackson and that England is a better option for his fans. But Lafitte has a specific reason for helping Jackson.
