Nemat (Nematullah Agassi) is a poor shepherd who decides to marry Star (Hala). An evil smuggler named Jassim (Hossein Gil) - who has neglected Tuba (Arzo Ghafari), Nemat's sister - kidnaps the star, and Nemat gets into a fight with him and beats him severely. In retaliation, Jassim lets Nemat escape during a fake robbery and sends him to prison. Nemat's mother dies and Star and Tuba flee to the desert.
