Angel (French: Angel-A) is a 2005 film directed by Luc Besson. Andre has just returned to Paris from America hoping to make some easy money. He wants to clear his life of crime and start a new life as an honest working man in America. But after only a few hours in Paris, Andre finds himself hanging over the edge of the Eiffel Tower, begging for his life from a man he hopes he'll never see again. He is given 24 hours to pay his 20,000 euro loan or he will be killed after the deadline. Andre frantically tries to find a way to escape certain death, begging the police to imprison him to keep him safe from his dangerous creditors, but the policemen mock him and throw him out of the police station. Finally, in desperation, he decides to end his life before the deadline by throwing himself into the river. But he is not alone. On the bridge that he decides to jump from, a beautiful and mysterious woman throws herself into the river before Andre. But Andre saved this woman with great effort and brought her to the riverside. Instead the woman (Angela) decides to help Andre. Angela not only helps Andre to find the money he needs, but also helps him to find the goodness inside himself...
