In a well-equipped prison built in a research laboratory, 20 men are brought together for a salary of 4,000 marks so that 12 of them play the role of prisoners and the other 8 play the role of prison guards. The prisoners are led to their cells and must obey the prison rules and the guards must fulfill their duties (without violence).
