The story of this series is related to the life of Princess Jung Myung. Princess Jongmyong, the daughter (latest child) of the rightful heir to King Sunju (ie Prince Yongchang the Great), is in the Chosan Dynasty. She was only two years old when Sunju was forced to abdicate to one of his heirs due to illness, and so the reign fell to Prince Gwanghae. Political factions split over the heirs to the throne, and after one of Big Brother's attempts to usurp the throne of Gwanghae failed, they again engaged Yongchang, who was eventually exiled and then killed. As a result, the queen and her daughter (Princess Jongmyung) were expelled from the palace to live like ordinary people and were treated as slaves...
