After the death of his father, Saleh (Manochehar Wathouq) is responsible for providing for his aunt and mother (Carmen). Saleh and his friend Adnan (Bahman Mofid) are interested in Marwarid (Hala Nazari), and Adnan, who is Salih's salt grower, gives up his interest so that Saleh can marry Marwarid. Ebad (Siamak Atlasi), the owner of a cafe in the port, is also enamored with the pearl and forbids Saleh from marrying her. Saleh goes to the sea to catch pearls. He goes deep into the water and does not come back. Adnan returns to the port and a funeral is held for Saleh. When Ebad proposes Marwarid to his father, Adnan's friend Naira (Arzo Ghaffari) selflessly introduces herself as Ebad's wife in order to prevent their union. By selling her house, Nire provides the means for Adnan and Marwarid's marriage. Thinking that Adnan has broken the rope with which he went to the bottom of the sea, Saleh returns to the port and stands face to face with Adnan. Marwarid reveals that Adnan treated him like a brother and married him to save him from Abad's clutches.
