Ayano Hansaki is a first-year student at Kanagawa Kitakumachi Preparatory High School. He meets Nagisa Aragaki, a third-year student who trains day and night with the goal of becoming the best player in Japan. Encouraged by coach Tachibana Kentaro, supported by fellow club members, and fired by various rivals, the two engage their youth in the love of sports and are as excited as a shuttle flying at top speed.
