Set in Oslo in 1987, the film follows the story of a 17-year-old boy who plans to escape his traditional upbringing and form Norway's first black metal band with his band. In order to get their band's name out there, he pulls off some shocking publicity stunts, but it doesn't take long for the line between show and reality to disappear.
