"Peter Benning" (Williams), an influential and successful lawyer, takes his wife and two children to London to visit "Grandma Wendy" (Smith) for the Christmas holidays. Due to his professional busyness, he is not able to pay enough attention and closeness to his children. One night, he returns to "Wendy's" house from a party and finds out that the children have disappeared. In a note signed by "Captain James Hook", he is invited to go to "Dreamland" to retrieve them.
