"Robert Clayton Dean" (Smith), a loving father, loyal wife and lawyer, goes to the store to buy a gift for his wife. But he doesn't know that in his shopping bag, they put a video tape that shows the recent murder of an American senator by "Thomas Reynolds" (Witt), one of the corrupt and high-ranking agents of that country's security organization. It is not long before "Reynolds" chases "Dean" to get hold of the tape.
