Alex J. Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) is a conscientious policeman who comes to the brink of death while carrying out an important mission. Scientists, in cooperation with the police department, prevented his death by performing a unique surgery and repaired most of his body with the help of irons. After recovering, Alex Murphy becomes a half-iron, half-human creature and gains new powers.
