Charlie is a simple police officer in Rhode Island who is adored by everyone. No one takes her seriously, even her fiance betrays her only after marrying her, and she runs away with a black dwarf while giving Charlie three sons from illicit relationships. These events cause a kind of frustration in Charlie and over time a new schizophrenic character named Hanks is formed in him. Unlike Charlie, Hanks is an evil character of a violent policeman and harassing people. The police department feels that Charlie needs some time to rest and travel, so he escorts Charlie to New York to be interrogated as Irene's escort due to a series of communication misunderstandings (with her ex-lover).
