The story takes place in 1981 and is about the revenge story of a Sheikh in Omar, who hires a professional assassin named Danny (Jason Statham) to kill the British Special Air Force (SAS) officers who were responsible for the death of his son. To force Danny to do this, the sheikh takes his friend and colleague known as Hunter (Robert De Niro) captive and sets the condition of his release as the end of Danny's mission, which is to kill all three officers. To complicate matters, Danny must produce a videotape of three murders in which the crime is staged to look like an accident. In this mission, two other members of his group, Davis and Mayer, accompany him, and on the other side is a former SAS agent named Spike (Clive Owen).
