Jahangir Dalutmand is put in a cell and Gulnar, the vampire woman, watches over him. Jahangir's story is reviewed: he goes to Neishabur to his friend Bahram and meets Mesh Ramadan and his daughter Golnar. Bahram says that Gulnar has a relationship with a goblin and Jahangir should not look after him. Jahangir meets Golnar in Khayyam's tomb and when he leaves Nishabur, he promises him that he will propose to his father next month.
