Akbar (Reza Arham Sadr) has a wife (Irene) who is a slut, and they live in the house of Akbar's sister (Nadia). Akbar, who is a telephone operator of a commercial establishment, is fired because of wiretapping the phones of the company president. Akbar meets a foreign girl named Catherine (Shorangiz Tabatabai), who has come to Isfahan to write a book about Iranian customs, and works as a guide for her. Akbar's wife, who is worried about her husband's absences, pursues him and uses an opportunity to steal Catherine's handbag, which contains money and her passport. Akbar takes Catherine to his house by paying for the hotel and marries her some time later. Akbar's wife, who sees her position in danger, regains her appearance and wins Akbar's heart again. By returning Catherine's handbag, the woman makes it possible for her to return to her country.
