Ishaq is an itinerant musician from a small mountain town. When he returns to his hometown to say goodbye to his dying mother, the memory of a lynching he was involved in seven years ago comes to him. As he confronts the five other perpetrators of the crime—his childhood friends—as well as the community and government officials who support them, Ishaq grapples with a heavy conscience. But the bigger the crime, the more powerful the silence, because everyone's hands are stained with blood.
