The basketball coach of Richmond High School retires and is replaced by Carter, a black man who used to be a high school student with a brilliant record. He was a very strict and law-abiding coach, and his behavior causes opposition from the players. He makes a contract with each player that they are obliged to show up on time for training and to be active in their classrooms, and that their grade point average is acceptable to the university.

As a result of the French atomic tests and the sinking of a huge Japanese ship in the Pacific Ocean, the footprints of a giant creature appear in Panama. A little later, a giant creature, "Godzilla", enters New York and after being attacked by the army forces and injured, "Dr. Nico" (Bradrick) tests some of his blood and finds out that he has laid an egg.
