A lustful man (Manochehar Akhdarpour), who is suspicious of his wife (Mehri Vedadian), drives his wife and child Nemat, who is paralyzed, out of the house and refuses to get a birth certificate for Nemat so that she can go to school. Nemat makes a living with his mother by doing things like waxing, selling ballads, selling oil, and singing. He grows up and goes to the capital. Nemat (Nematullah Agassi) works as a singer in a low-class cafe and soon becomes popular and slows down the work of nearby cafes.
